As we age our body starts to decline, and without regular exercise both the number of and probability of you suffering from a range of medical conditions and diseases increases such as obesity, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis and other degenerative problems. Well that’s the bad news which I did not sugar coat!

The good news is that by working with a specialist older adult personal trainer you can halt and even reverse the effects of many degenerative conditions and disease, while osteoporosis, arthritis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease present challenges. I’m the personal trainer for the over 60s of choice in Brighton and Hove.

There are three main areas as an over 60s personal trainer where I can help you:

  1. Flexibility and Balance –weight training combined with stretching you can help rejuvenates stiff joints, as well as dramatically improving your range of motion and general mobility. By including balance exercises I can help you avoid injury from trips and falls.
  2. Strength – Not only for the older adult, resistance training helps you to maintain strength and lean muscle mass, increasing your general mobility and endurance.
  3. Cardiovascular – As your over 60s personal trainer I will help develop your cardiovascular fitness as a sedentary lifestyle over time can dramatically reduce this vital aspect of your general health.

I am adept at training people of any age, but as an older personal trainer at 52 myself, my next milestone birthday will be 60! So, I have chosen to undertake and pass a qualification; Exercise for Older Adults, as I’m passionate about being a specialist personal trainer for the over 60s.
